How Quick Can An Illness Hit?

i do beleive in safety 100%. someone is dosing off on the job. has there ever been a time that one of your co-worker has come down with an illness ? seriously how quick can the flu hit you,a cold, maybe diabetics etc etc? you hear about people being fired for sleeping on the job. what would you do?

Yes there have been people fired for sleeping on the job. And yes an illness can hit suddenly, but the two are not necessarily linked.

Consider narcolepy. I once worked with a narcolepy pt who could litterally fall asleep in a instant. Also, depending on the shift you work, consider shift work sleep disorder..you can find more info at webmd.

Also, speaking from my own experience, illness in some instances can hit very quickly. I am a diabetic with very aggressive heart disease. My blood sugar has dropped to dangerous levels in a matter of minutes, triggering coronary artery spasms and near fainting episodes. It can and does happen to me.
