So Im planning on taking the LVN Program at Casa Loma. I havent gone to speak to a couselor about an pre-reqs that I need or any other requirements. I plan on taking the program thats night shifts since I work fulltime at a health insurance company. The program is Tues-Thurs 6p - 11p, and Sat 7a - 7p. I have no other education experiance other than a diploma from 2007 when I graduated highschool, and Im pretty nervous about attending school. I plan on setting up a meeting with a couselor in the next couples to ask questions about tuition, pre-reqs, etc. But my main question is what can I do in the meantime to prepare myself for this program? Once Im done with the program I want to continue on to become an RN. Even if it takes me longer than expected, I want to go on a pace that im comfortable with. I believe taking the LVN program, work as an LVN for a year or so once I graduate, and then go for the LVN-to-RN Bridge. Any tips or advice you guys, and gals can help me out on? Id greatly appreciate it.
