Finally got my stuff together and ready to submit the application. I was wondering how much it cost. I know they can split it up in payments but I just needed to know if I need to go get a small loan.

It was $2145 when I paid for it December of last year.
Plus you have to remember hotel, travel, food and white scrubs (if you don't have them), for me about another $350, but will vary for each person.
I drove to my test site (around 500 miles each way) so spent ~$130 on gas, got a great deal on a hotel using priceline ($45/night for 3 nights) and was so nervous I did not eat much.
edit: Just looked it up, it is now $2225.
Cost worksheet (may need to be logged in to Excelsior to see it)

$2225:nailbiting:!!!!!! It was $1950 when I took it 3 years ago. So now, it's officially an arm and two legs! I guess next year, all that will be left is the torso!
That's funny. Also it's says it takes minimum of two months to receive test date. Does it really take that long.
Depends on what test region and site. Lubbock is around a 6 month wait.

It was $760 when I took it.. Yes, I'm old.
I applied in Georgia around late November 2009 and put myself on a cancellation list for any of the 4 hospitals here. My first date was to have me testing on January 11, 2010, which I changed due to a death. The next date I received and tested on was Valentines Day weekend. (Passed with gleaming colors, albeit sad because a family member died that weekend as well). But I kinda kept a bug in their ear at the office until I received the closest date acceptable to me, asking them to please let me know of any last-minute cancellations, no matter what date I had accepted. Of course, since I did have a date, they had to be fair with other students. Also, mind you, once you accept a date, there is a charge to change it. Good luck to you on the CPNE.
An Excelsior graduate that still has money in the pockets! My hero! I still feel the effects of that cost.
Heh, to be fair, I was working at a retail department store part time for minimum wage and that was a TON of money for me. Thankfully I passed.
I was thinking something along those lines but I was not ABOUT to post it in writing...didn't want to add to the "I'm old" comment, for fear of offending you or admitting my own age which, I might add, exceeds yours.
