How long to wait?

Hello all.

Was recently discharged from the military two months ago. The same day I sent an application to a hospital college for their spring 2009 nursing program (all pre-reqs are in order and transferable). My patience is declining after i contacted them two weeks ago and they said I'll be hearing something in a few weeks.

How long does it take to get accepted? How long did it for you?

I'm used to getting things done asap and this is bugging the heck out of me.

Thanks and God bless you.

My nsg school's acceptance deadline was Nov 1st of each year. I was lucky and recieved first round of acceptance. I got my letter about Dec 22nd. I know the 2nd round acceptance letters went out sometime in Feb, and the final letters went out in April. Classes started in May.

Hope you hear some-thing soon!

Don't stalk your mail carrier to much!:clown:

took me 3 years to finally get accepted into a school. This year I applied to two school the apps were due by the first of Febuary for both schools, the one I got accepted to I heard back by the end of March the other didn't hear anything from them untill June. So really depends on the school.

I sent in my application last February and did not hear until June. Luckily, I was accepted. Patience is a virtue!

I think all nursing shcools drag thier feet when it comes to students and recieving information.

I applied in November and found out in March (first round of acceptance). What you have to understand is these schools get HUNDREDS of apps for maybe 50-60 spots. They have to first weed out anyone who doesn't meet the minimun requirements, then go through the remaining apps and choose from a qualified app pool... Often there are only a handful of office personale doing this... Cut them some slack, school won't even start for at least 4 months.

It just depends on your school's program deadlines, and how they process applications.

My school accepted applications until Oct 1, and sent the initial acceptance letters on Oct 21 for the Spring semester. For Fall, the deadline is March 1, and they send letters in May.
