How long to wait after 2nd interview?

I had a 2nd interview with the floor manager that manages the floor that I applied on. Interview went great. How long should I wait until I follow up with the HR person and check in? Its been 3 business days. My sister in law, who is an RN, said it took her 2-3 weeks to hear back about any jobs she applied for at another hospital in town. But this is a CNA job, so I dont know if its the same.

Anyone have any input?

    It took about a week and a half for me (to find out if I made 2nd round interviews) Although I was notified of that time frame, during the interview. I also sent a letter to each hiring manager, thanking them for taking the time to interview me.
