How long is your shift?

  • Expert

I work loooooong shifts in dialysis and was wondering if this is the norm. How many hours a day do you work? A week? I am currently doing some days that are 14-16 hours and it is killing me.

Ditto, I average around 11 or 12, but then call days, it's around 16, even up to 20. My worst was almost 22. Hours. And I eat little nibbles of food like a mouse in the water room.

I..am..ROBO-NURSE. I..do..not..need...nourishment...or...potty...breaks.

On our call-days we can get some hours like this, and boy do I sqwuak like a cat caught in a dryer.
