How long does it generally take?

I'm a new grad who sent an application to a hospital about a month ago.. That was Jan 12, and then about a week later I gave a call to find out application status.

The lady I talked to was very nice and she told me that she's still waiting for different staffs to reply and that she would call me back if there's any progress.

I haven't heard from her since and I'm very anxious cuz that place is 'the' place I want to work..

A week ago I passed NCLEX. So I left a voice message saying that I passed the board.. I still haven't gotten anything from her or the hospital.

How long does it generally take for the hospital to contact an applicant? Or do they not want me? :o Should I wait longer or should I apply for other hospitals? I don't know what to do..

I would send a very polite email asking about interviewing for a position.

I would contact her again this time asking to shadow in what ever dept interest you. That way if you get a good vibe from the nurses in that dept they can tell HR they want you. Plus I just am a beliver in trying before you buy, I think that works with both employee and employer.

Good luck and congrats on passing your boards!!!

Definitely would contact them again, as well as others.

It is always best to have taken and passed the NCLEX exam before applying. Many facilities are no longer truely considering anyone until they find that they have passed the exam.

Best of lcuk to you, but do not limit your applications to only this one facility.
