I am a pre-nursing student who is currently between schools. I have completed all my prerequisites, but I was unable to get into my previous schools nursing program. I have applied to two more universities however now I have a dilemma. Both universities nursing programs will admit during the spring 2016. And I'm supposed to be starting at one of these two schools in the fall. If I am attending one school will I be able to get into the other one's nursing program if I'm not attending that school? Also, would it be beneficial for me to defer admissions to the spring semester for the university that I do not plan to attend in the fall? Please help me. What is the best thing for me to do so I have a better chance of getting in? I haven't applied to the nursing programs yet.

I don't understand. So you've completed your pre-reqs but why are you starting at the university in the fall if they aren't admitting people into the program until Spring 2016? I guess I'm not really understanding the situation..

Why are you starting at one of the schools in the fall if you finished your prereqs? I'm confused. Did you leave something out or are we missing something?
Anyway, you need to apply to the college/university first before you can apply to the nursing program.
If I don't start back in the fall I'll have to start paying back loans.
Ive already gotten accepted to both universities.
Then you apply to both programs when they open.
Ok and it won't matter if im attending one of the schools and not the other? Should I defer my acceptance to one of the schools after I make the choice of which university to attend in the fall?
Are you attending the nursing program or just the university?
Currently the university only.
Then you have no issue applying to as many programs as you want.
Ok thank you

If it's possible you could look at taking some of the co-curricular classes you'd need to take later during the nursing program this fall. Get that out of the way so it's easier to focus on just nursing stuff later. Or you could look at taking something elective/for the fun of it. I'm now trying to decide what (if any) grad school route to take so I'm taking some courses I could have taken during nursing school if I'd chose to overload my credit hours. I chose not to, and it's fine because I get to do some school between not having been in school and grad school. It hasn't hurt me financially because my employer has a very generous tuition reimbursement program.
