How is the BSN entry level program at Nova Southeastern University?

Hey I'm new to this site, and was just curious how Nova's nursing program is. I just got accepted into the Fall 2010 nursing program at the main campus in Davie. Any advice on how it is? Did you feel prepared when you took your NCLEX after completing the 27 month program? Would love to hear from anybody. I'm so excited and cant wait to start in august! :)

Futurenurse the book on the booklist is the right info. I emailed our professor myself and she said that HUMAN PHYSIOLOGY BY STUART FOX is the right book. Go by what's on the book list.

hello everyone! first of all just wanted to congratulate you all for getting into the program, i havent been on this blog since i feel like i started it, but im glad you guys are meeting eachother, thats what i did with a couple of girls and let me tell you i know i wouldnt of made it the first semester with out them. First semester is definitely challenging, but you can do it if you have your mind set on it! The physiology teacher is amazing shes very fair and puts wat she taught in the lecture on the test! oh and i also just wanted to reccomend to buy a recorder, thats what i did, i never used it before but i know it helped me earn an A in the class! I wish the best of luck to all you on your first semester, and remember you can do it!

Nurse2b23 thank you so much for sharing your insight about the program. This really helps a lot. I hope all is well for you!

is it safe to buy all my books now on ebay or amazon, just want to get them cheaper online before school starts,is it a good idea or not.Do they use all the books they assign online or should i wait, cause i want to be ready, where can i get a recorder????

I bought all my books on Amazon and Barnes & Noble. Just make sure its the newest edition. You can get a tape recorder at walmart or target I know for sure.

I have only bought to books on amazon the human physiology and the math book because I know for a fact we need them but the other books I am going to wait until we begin class...

I bought the human physiology and the math book on amazon as well. I also bought the blue apa book (not the orange one) the rest I'll wait untill classes begin.

Hello,

I was also accepted to Nova this Winter 2011 :) I was curious is anyone selling or maybe know someone who wants to sell there Human Physiology book or know where to find it at a good price?

amazon.com when did u get accepted?? recently??

Thanks can it be the international version? I was accepted early October, my friend told me about this website and how helpful it was :)

I donot think the international version is okay.

Congrats to the incoming class! I will be in the second semester in winter. As far as purchasing the international version, I had the international version of the physiology book and everything was fine. Make sure that the book has the same content word for words as the US version. I got mine from eBay and made sure that the listing had that disclaimer. My advice to you guys is to enjoy the rest of the time you have now because you will no longer have that in two weeks. Also, try to have fun throughout this whole process. A good sense of humor will get you so much farther. Enjoy and I will see some of you guys at the kendall campus.
