Houston Methodist Interview with Unit Manager

So my open house for Houston Methodist went well and a recruiter said someone will contact me about a interview date in the next few days. I'm trying to prepare well for the interview and wondering what the interview will be like with a unit manager. Should i expect a panel? (Won't be surprised). On a general note I'm really trying to get a heads up, and prepare well. Houston Methodist is highly ranked and even though i hear it's hard to move up, they have terrific benefits and some say they enjoy working there. For my first year out of school, it's definitely a place i want to work at. I've read the forums but it doesn't really give me the information i want. Thanks guys.

Are you referring to The Methodist (Texas Med Center) or one of their satellite facilities? If it's "The" Methodist (hey, that is actually part of their name - LOL), you have a golden opportunity. There are multiple reasons that they are always listed among the elite providers in the US.

The only route into that facility is via their new graduate residency program - and they are very picky. Career advancement is not "easy" because it's criterion based. You have to actually "do stuff" to move up the ladder. But there will be plenty of resources and support for that advancement if you choose to take advantage of it.

Best of luck to you!!! Let us know how it turns out.

Did you receive a call? I was told the same thing but still havent heard anything.
