Hello all, I am curios as I have provided comfort meds and comfort measures and post mortem care and I love being there to pray with their spirit as they travel to heaven.
A coworker of mine said something about hitchhiker ghosts, bad spirits that are there when people pass ?

Is this a serious question? Don't mean to offend but wow
Please don't comment unless you have a serious answer. Thanks :-)
I'm sorry if struck a nerve but really?!
I was asked to give a serious answer so here it is: No, there is no such thing as hitchhiker bad spirits......

Allow me to explain what a hitchhiker ghost is: A hitchhiker ghost is a spirit that attaches itself to a person who does negative things such as drugs and alcohol or is constantly around negative people. Hitchhiker spirits can also be shadows of oneself that is playing a role in their lives that may be misconstrued as a dark entity or archon force in their life.

I've worked in hospice care and been present at the moment of death for several patients. Currently I am reading your question asking if there are bad spirits or ghosts that latch onto people as they die. In my experience: No. While I've had many experience that have made me believe the spiritual world is far more complex than I am able to comprehend I've never felt "the presence of evil" or seen a ghost or anything like that.
Is this question coming from a specific experience or a particular culture view point? I do think it is possible that our spiritual and cultural experiences lead us to expect certain experiences or interpret the dying process differently based on how we have been raised to perceive the world.

All I know is, if you take an EMF reader to a place such as a nursing home, certain rooms will be full of activity. If you think your patient is hallucinating, use the meter to check out the room, I verified that yes, there really was "something" sitting in that chair she kept talking to.

What possible reason would you have to take an EMF reader into someones room?
Would look like one of the worst haunted house B movies of the 50's and 60's ever.
Do you understand what an EMF reader is actually reading? It certainly is NOT ghosts or spirits or anything supernatural.
I was trying desperately to stay out of this thread but....
There are no such things as spirits, spooks, ghosts, hitchhiker spirits/ghosts.
If you want proof of this, think about the TV programme Ghost Hunters. First aired in 1996 -
STILL HAS NOT FOUND A GHOST!
Apologies for shouting but it needs it.
