Hope I get it!!

I am an LPN and have worked in an endoscopy center for 2 years. I had an interview today for an opening at a pediatric office. Full time, weekends off. I think it went great. I'm mailing a thank you card in the morning. I just had to share my exciting day! What are everyone's thoughts on thank you notes? This is the first time I have done one, I have read it makes you stick out. :)

I have no advice on the thank you note, I have also heard it makes you stand out. Good luck gota love Mon-Fri :)

Thanks! I work Mon-Fri now and absolutely love it! :)

GOOD LUCK!!!! As for the Thank You card...I am still on the fence about this one.

I have done both some places I have e-mailed others I mailed hand written notes to...didn't see a difference either way and I doubt they save them. I am personally starting to think the thank you e-mail/card is over rated. Back in the day I think less people did it so it made more of an impact. Now I think recruiters get overloaded with thank you e-mails and cards and it means nothing to them anymore. Can you imagine interviewing 12 people for an interview and getting thank you notes/cards from all of them?? Would you even care any more?

I personally think I am going to change the way I send thank you e-mails/cards. Unless I really connect with the person I interview with I'm not sending them anymore.

Also I think the one thing to keep in mind (and this is just my thinking) unless you are sending a true "Thank you for interviewing me" and that's it note or card its not genuine and people see right through it.

Just my 2 cents.

Thanks, I didn't get it though ? they called yesterday. I did apply at another peds office though. I was unsure about the thank you note. I know when we get mail at the office I work at now most things get tossed aside and aren't really looked at that aren't patient related. This was the first time I have done a thank you note for an interview. Thanks for your response! ?

Well I got a call back early than expected. They want to do a back ground check and check my supervisor references. I put one of my past supervisors down who is also a friend and they called her today. She said the conversation went great! I'm hoping to get a final answer by the beginning of next week:)
