You might be doing diabetes care/check-ups with GDM moms, maybe assessing that baby is cared for and mom is recovering PP, check BPs, DTRs and Wts on PreEclamptic Pts, do a strip on a PTL pt, etc.

It can. Depends on where and how big an area you are covering. For example in a city/urban setting, you won't be traveling long distances, but may be required to go to various neighborhoods , some that are ok, others that are quite dangerous. IN rural areas, you will put a lot of miles on your vehicle doing the visits. I knew a HH nurse (She did OB and PP follow up visits) who traveled as far as 25-40 miles for her visits, including on Native American reservations. She loved doing this. Anyhow, you have good questions to ask at the interview or of the human resource person responsible for posting this ad.

Good luck!
