Recent health survey research indicates that U.S. healthcare consumers are increasing their use of complementary and alternative modalities (CAM). Consumers often do not inform their primary care providers of such use. What implications are there for nursing practice because of this?

Lots of questions for homework, eh?
One way I can think of is...patients might be taking herbs to treat something or other, and might not think to mention it if not asked specifically...and the herbs might cause side effects or interfere with "official" medical treatment...
yeah...im not doing to hot in school and I really don't understand this stuff and this is due tomorro and im pretty much freaking out about it and im trying to understand it all but the questions are so confusing.
