I've already asked a question kind of similar to this, but I wanted to know if anyone knew of any programs specifically in Florida that helped corpsman veterans in nursing programs as far as paying for fees or getting into programs easier due to experience.
Any knowledge would be greatly appreciated.
I should be receiving my AA for a Genera Transfer this fall and I want to enter into the LPN program at my school at Palm Beach State. There are no prerequisites for this course.

I'm an AD Corpsman going through MECP. The college I'm applying to, Chamberlain College of Nursing, has two locations in Florida, Jacksonville and Miramar. They are very knowledgeable with military enlisted medical ratings and are very accommodating. I'd suggest checking them out.
There is also the Nurse Candidate Program but being prior service I don't think you'll be able to apply, it seems to be more for kids just getting into a Nursing Program from High School.

Prior enlisted can apply for the navy nurse candidate program. I taught in the BSN program and I had a former Navy enlisted go direct commission through the navy nurse candidate program. Last time I heard from him he was at the airport on his way to Camp Lejeune[emoji41].!

You could also look at an Intermediate Care Technician position at a VAMC and then apply for a VANEEP scholarship for your BSN after a year and a half. That is the sweetest of deals.
