High School Student Needs Advice!

I have just started my senior year in high school, and I'm hoping to go to college for nursing after I graduate. I've been volunteering in pediatrics and in the NICU since May, and I'm starting an internship through my school in the NICU. I would really like to someday become a NICU nurse, and I was wondering what steps I would take to make that happen :) Thanks!

Pretty much you just need to go to nursing school, graduate, and pass the NCLEX. It's competitive to get a spot as a new grad in the NICU, but it can be done. Networking through volunteer work, as well as working in a NICU as a student nurse or tech, helps to gain an edge in selection.

Sounds like you're already doing everything you can do. Do well in school and network! I got in with less of an edge than you already have. :)
