Hi guys,

I tried to search the forum for some answers but couldnt find much about high arches.

At the moment i have croc professionals. Theyre alright but I just finished my first 3 consecutive 12 hour shifts and my heels were not happy. I have realtively high arches and have always bought special insoles for my tennis shoes. Im thinking this may have something to do with it. (first time ive felt only my heals hurt though)

Ive seen that some ppl recommend the croc specialist for more arch support but im really open to try anything. I just want to feel more arch support and hopefully get rid of this heal pain.

Only thing is I really liked the fact that the crocs were light because my feet tend to get exteremly hot during my shifts.

Any suggestions or tips would be greatly appreciated.

THnaks!

:yeah:

The new nike shox. amazing arch support. as sooon as you slip them on you will notice the support.

Danskos are the only soes that provide me adequate arch support. I have high arches AND a high instep so I have a hard time fitting into the Dansko Professionals. I used to wear the Pita model but they are very hard to find now. However, I ordered one size up in the Sonia and it works great for me. The Sonia model is cut a little different around the instep area. They also are a lot lighter than the Professionals. I feel like I am wearing slippers all day long!

In the catalog, it will say which insoles are for high, normal or flat arches.

Thanks for the advice. I ended up getting some dansko professionals.

:( the only problem is they are hurting my feet. Ive warn them on 2 different 12 hour shifts. At different times of course. I know shoes like this may need to brake in buttt Im starting to worry.

My arches toward my heel feel bruised. The second shift the leather loosened so the top of my foot feels a lot better. But the arch thing is disheartening. Im not sure why, maybe the other shoes messed up my feet a little and they have to recover, maybe my arches arent as high as I always thought. Has anyone else had problems breaking in their danskos?

Have you tried putting inserts into the shoes? I remember when I first started wearing Dansko's the arch support bothered me a little so I bought a pair of white Dr Scholl's inserts. They made the bottom of my feet more comfortable. After a while my feet became more accustomed to the shoes and I no longer wear this inserts....

http://www.zappos.com for Birkenstocks. They have the Boston with an extra-high arch and Birks. are. heaven.

Hi there,

Hi arch sufferer here, and I cannot wear Dansko's, my legs are killing me by the end of the shift! I wear Calzuro's and they are the BEST! Relatively cheap, they'll run around 60$/pair, and they are so worth it! I put a gel inset in mine because they come equipped with the grooved bottoms, but they are just the best! And they come in a wide variety of colors too!! Good luck!

I bought a pair of dansko pro's and yes they took a while to break in. They still hurt my heels a bit after an 8 hour shift but the next day they are fine. I trade off and on with my Shox that have amazing arch support and that helps. I still love the danskos but prefer the Shox.

I have found that the PowerStep Arch Boosters really help. I have high arches and need good support and these seem to be doing the trick. I found them online at Therawear.com and the website is http://www.therawear.com/powerstep_arch_boosters.html if anyone wants to try them. They are great! I hope this helps!
