Hi welcome to the board!!! The best thing to do as far as classes that you need to take is to talk to the counselor at the school you are going to apply to nursing school. Or as I and most people here probably did get a college catalog from your intended school and it should list all class that are required for the nursing program. Best of luck to you!!

Your school will be able to tell you what you need specifically for the nursing program as well as any general ed requirements for the school itself. Some of the general requirements might be somewhat vague (i.e. a humanities course, an art course), in which case look through courses in that category and pick something that sounds interesting to YOU! Take advantage of opportunities to study some non-nursing stuff... you'll probably want the mental break! Best of luck to you and welcome to allnurses! :balloons:

Hello and welcome to allnurses. I would call local colleges to find out what courses are required for nursing because different schools have different requirements. Like my school require religion for elective, most schools dont.
