Hi everyone! I'm one of those "long time lurker, first time poster" people. I've been a stay at home mom to my kids for several years now and am really looking forward to getting back on track with my career path. I have worked in a drs office as an MA and in LTC as a NA, but like I said, I've been a SAHM, so it's been quite a while since any "experience" I've had.
It's been a few months now since I've been accepted into the LPN program and yesterday I finally got my packet with all the "good stuff" in it - health forms, parking permit, clearances, uniform/equipment requirements (I was a little disappointed about the white pants, but I'll deal!), etc. Orientation is March 13th (class begins in April)! It all seems VERY very real now.
I think it is safe to say that I am excited and more than a little nervous. This is a 1 year program and I'm bracing myself for the most intense year of my life!
Anyway, I just wanted to reach out and say hello as well as warn you all that you may be seeing more of me asking for advice and whatnot.
