Hi to all you HFCC nursing students, current or graduated!!!!! I know we have to wear a uniform for clinicals but I was wondering if there were any requirements for the other classes????? I'm sure I'll find out on friday at our first meeting but I'm SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO excited I can't stand it.

I've been having anxiety dreams for the last two weeks and they are driving me crazy. Last night I was a student nurse on a psych floor and I kept leaving the floor without telling anyone and then I'd remember you can't do that and run back upstairs before I got caught. WTH is that about? Maybe they're normal but I'd like for once to have a nice one...haha

I know the later part of my previous message didn't really relate to the subject, I guess I was just putting it out there to see if it was normal:)

Are any of us normal? :chuckle I am so excited, yet scared to death. I heard it was business casual. which means I need to go shoppin since I wear jeans and t-shirts everyday

Don't buy new clothes. You'd be surprised at how many days you will need to wear "comfortable" clothes since you will often act as your lab partner's "patient". A pair of khakis and a nice shirt will be fine. Good luck! :)

Ha yeah as Veruka said you wear khakis and a nice shirt or black pants and a nice shirt what ever...just don't let your top half or mid section show. Then they make you wear a lab coat that you will be buying soon. Which actually a lot of times you will wear those same clothes to your psy rotation. Some had to wear uniform still but mine we wore lab clothes...minus the lab coat...another reason you don't want your top half peeking out or your mid section :-p

As for your dream about leaving the floor in psy without your teacher knowing...well don't worry some psy clinicals you are locked in and can't get out ha. :-p If not you have keys. We had keys and were actually allowed to roam between the 2 areas, smokeing area (for the pts) and the cafeteria...as long as we were doing something. We could even go into our conferance room to look stuff up in our book or quickly decompress from everything. It was super easy. Ha hope me saying the being locked in doesn't give you worst dreams...and besides it is kinda normal to have bad dreams about school. Everyone has them sometimes. I just didn't sleep at first (not cause of dreams I just couldn't sleep due to anticipation ha) Good luck!
