HESI disaster!

We tried to take the HESI- Fundamentals exam today at UMB and it was a total disaster! The technology was a complete failure. So many of us got kicked out of our exams by the system multiple times, that we started getting locked out altogether, and the Evolve employee had to walk from room to room to manually reinstate students throughout the exam. It was a total, utter disaster. If you are scheduled to take a HESI exam in the coming days- ask your school to contact Evolve to make sure it is still going forward as planned. If it is, allow yourself an extra hour to finish the exam in case of technical trouble!

Good luck!

Our exam kept locking up too, very frustrating.

Because everyone was on wireless? We usually are encouraged to bring our ethernet cords with us in order to help prevent overloading the wireless routers. We had 3 HESIs this week without a problem.

We were on a wired network in the dedicated nursing student computer lab.

Wow, you have your own computer lab? We all have university-issued laptops, so no computer labs for us :(

It is nice to not have to fight other students for a computer in the library. The school-issued laptops sound cool though.

We were given the choice of bringing a laptop or taking the exam in one of the labs. It seems like the Evolve servers were just overloaded. I know they canceled HESI exams for a few hours the next day for upgrades, so hopefully that solved the problem.

What a mess! :)

I don't see a point to such an exam at the end of every semester. We did our's Wednesday, and several people got kicked off. I guess the hesiinet server can't handle the load.

I was also so ticked off when I paid thirty bucks for that green card in a CD case. How lame!!!

What green card?

My CD case had a green card in it about the size of a calling card with a little number and two lines to write your name and institution on. I had to submit that as proof of purchase. Stupid!!!!!!!!!

We also had the green card in the case for $30.

Our HESI was also a disaster. Our instructor had trouble getting the access code from wherever she is supposed to get it. Then the access code didn't work. Then we got the right code and we couldn't get into the test. Turns out the school's internet firewall was blocking the website. So, the rest of the day was spent with numerous people on the phone to Evolve and our ITT department and so on and so forth.

We finally got to take it yesterday.

We had one on Wednesday the 8th that ws AWFUL - kept freezing up, kicked everyone off off and on for about 30 minutes. Our professors called HESI and they offered a re-take today. I passed the "acceptable benchmark" so I didn't bother with the retake but it was a terrible and stressful testing environment. First time that's happened to me
