Helpful Reference Books

I am a BSN nursing student in my sophomore year and am somewhat of a research hog. I like to read or have on hand additional references that can help my understanding of the material I may be covering. I have purchased so far Davis Q and A for the NCLEX-RN, Mary Ann Hogan's Nursing Fundamentals Reviews and Rationales, MaryAnn Hogan's Maternal-Newborn Nursing Reviews and Rationales, in addition to the books recommended for the semester. I have been looking at a book called Nursing: The Ultimate Study Guide by Nadia Singh. Has anyone ever heard of this book or used it? I haven't been able to hold one in my hand to go through it, but the material outlined seems thorough...any advice would be appreciated. Also, any recommendations for reference material would be great.

After not doing so well on my first exam I picked up a book recommended to my by one of the senior nursing students. Saunders Comprehensive NCLEX review, it is a really awesome book and has a lot of great information on test taking skills and also pretty much everything else covered on the NCLEX. I would highly recommend it.

Thank you for your advice! I think that this site should be a wonderful resource for everyone to pool what they do ( to study ). I know hearing different methods that people have to learn is quite fascinating! I have a senior student who makes a collage of terms and definitions on the wall in her dining room to learn! Very original!!
