My daughter graduated from Casa Loma College in Van Nuys and thought it was ok. They had their problems but overall prepared the students for licensure.

Several years ago I completed the LVN program at Casa Loma College in Van Nuys, which is in the same general neck of the woods as Glendale/Burbank. I have no specific feedback on "North-West" College.
Carefully pay attention to the current LVN job market in southern California. Many of the recent LVN grads in Los Angeles County, Orange County, San Bernardino County, Riverside County, and other areas have been unable to find any LVN jobs.

Lack of employment is very real. Even jobs for RNs are not as plentiful in the general LA area.
So I should look into CasaLoma? Thanks. I will. -- With everyone saying LVN will be not in demand, Should i even continue with this career knowing that i might not have a job afterwards? =(
And is there any school's that are straight RN? =/
I moved out of state immediately after graduation from the LVN program. I enjoy a higher salary, lower cost of living, and overall better quality of life by working as an LVN in another state.
West Coast University has an RN program if you have lots of money. All inclusive BSN costs about $116,000. The ASN program is about $60,000. The LVN to RN program is quoted in another thread today at about $32,000. It is not necessarily impossible to get a job as an LVN, just difficult. Another advantage to getting an LVN license, is that it opens up the LVN to RN bridge program option to you. So it is not a useless activity.
Yeah i was thinking about if / when i graduate from LVN i would want to move out from LA to somewhere else to find a job b/c i know how LA is very packed right now unless i try and it works out for me. -- The LVN to RN program is that in WestCoast? I think thats a good price b/c there was a LVN program i saw that was 33,000 and it was just for LVN...

there is no need to worry about the job market for LVNs. LVNs find plenty of work in the long term care setting, rather than acute care facilities. instead of listeing to what other people have to say regarding the job market, you should look and see for yourself.
