Help on theoretical framework

It's asking you to discuss the nursing theory that you have best identified what you have done so far in your professional practice (clinical) of course unless you are an ADN RN getting your BSN then your actual work as an RN. Nursing theory as (any other theory in any other field) is to help you mold or identify how you want to practice. What we end up doing is integrating multiple theories into our practice whether we are aware of it or not. Look up some nursing theory and see which one best defines what you do or beleive/practice as a nurse and take it from there.

In my BSN program with the captsone we had to form a theory of our own which was pretty exciting. One needs to understand "why" we study theory to benefit from it (all professionals study theory). I know when students are presented with theory it's not taken seriously or they think it's something that's not important ... it is. In my nursing program we studied theory from day one up until the day we graduated. Good luck.

First search for nursing theorist and then select the thoery you want then make a research of it both in your library of the internet..

as an example, the one i like the best is the one that says nursing helps people do what they are unable to do for themselves, and helps them get to the place where they can do as much as possible for themselves. (you can look them up and see which one that is.) there are more. look them up, read about them briefly, then write your paper on the one that speaks best to you. then every time you think or act as a nurse, see if you can think about that in terms of your nursing theory. you'll be on your way to being a more thoughtful professional nurse, which is your faculty's goal in making this a part of your education.
