Hello I was wondering if anyone had any pointers on the ITT Tech schools for the nursing program. Ive been reading up and I've heard the good and bad. Its a 2 year program and is ACICS accredited. Does anyone have any information or experiences!? Please let me know ! thanks!

Go to your state's BON website and look at the NCLEX pass rates for ITT in your state. In Indiana the pass rate is between 50-70% for 2013. All of them (in my state) have been on probation with the BON due to their pass rates for years.

I did not attend one of these schools so I can not give any solid advice on the program. But I can tell you that I know an LPN that graduated from there and she thought that is all she would do. But now that she has worked a couple years she wants to become an RN, and now she has to take all the pre-reqs and the RN program (where as if she went into the LPN program at my community college she would only need 2 semesters of RN classes). She says she has no motivation to go back, but really wants too. My employer as well as all others around me will not accept you if you do not get an associates or higher degree now (she was grandfathered in). So your best bet is to contact employers around you and ask if they accept employees from that program. Good luck, I say if you can just go into an ADN or BSN.
