I am registaring for pre reqs in oregon and need some advice i am taking a math and writing class to start and need to know if i should take a spanish class aswell or psychology class im not sure which one to choose any advice??? What classes did other people start with???

Which one would be required for the nursing program that you are attempting to attend? Would both Spanish and psych be required? If you don't need both, I would take Psych. If you do need both, I would take whichever one you feel you would be able to handle on top of your two other courses.

I agree with the above poster. I would think some programs would give you points for taking language course in college but you must double check how many language courses you need to take in order to receive points for if the program goes by point system. I know of a program in my area that saids in order to receive points for language you must have taken a sequence or series of 3 continuous language courses.

Well spanish is not required until i go for my BSN which I plan to do in the future. but it looks really good on nursing program apps is what i was told. Im not even sure how all this works i just looked up the pre reqs for all community colleges in oregon amd am going to try to take most of them so i have better chances at getting in. Does anyone know if you can apply to go start to get your bachelor's. Or do u have to start out and graduate from a community coll3ge program first? Im having a hard time finding a academic advisor to call me back. And need all the direction i can get right now.

If you are looking at transferring into a 4 year BSN program at universities such as U of P or Linfield, you do not need to have graduated from CC. You will apply as a transfer student as a junior, so you will need to have completed the basic lower level classes required by that uni and have completed (or be on track to complete) your prerequisites prior to matriculation. Most of the programs, whether CC or university, generally require the same prerequisites, the primary exception being U of P which requires additional religion, ethics, and philosophy courses. Keep your GPA up, volunteer in the community, and get some life experience while you are doing your prerequisites. Because the universities are not going off the point system like the CC's do, the experiences you gain will make you a more well-rounded candidate with perspective, which they like to see. Good luck!

Thank you soooo much!!!! That was thr info I was looking for!
