Help!

Hey All-

I graduated in May 2010 and have taken the NCLEX twice since them (September & December). Obviously, I failed both times, got 265 questions each time, which I think just throws salt on the wound . I'm scheduled to take it again next week but am not sure if I'm really ready. I've taken Kaplan twice before which really didn't help me (hence the double failure) & since my last failure I have been using the Davis 2010 Q&A book. I've completed the book & am now working on the CD. These questions are suppose to be the hardest one's that can be given. I've been scoring an average of 70% on the practice quizzes and am not sure what that means in NCLEX world. I've read that anywhere from 60% and up is considered good.

I can't bare the emotional, financial, and mental toll failing a third time will take on me so I really want to be ready & just pass the damn thing already & FINALLY become a nurse!! :nurse:

Any & all advice is welcome, THANKS!! :)

Hi Ready,

I'd suggest looking at my post "long time lurker...first time poster" for some reinforcement. Your journey somewhat echoes mine. As for the practice test scores...please don't get discouraged by them. I refused to even take practice tests when I was preparing for my 3rd attempt. I just continued to answer questions. You CAN and you WILL pass!

The NCLEX is known for being unpredictable. People who are well-prepared often fail. Just remember that if you are persistent, you will pass. Good luck.
