Help!

I am a nurse into just a little over my first year. I work with more capable techs and nurses who have been into this area of nursing for 3,6,20 years etc... I am told that I don't pull my load and it is unfair to the others. I am trying my best to keep up and have let them know I have a foot/heel issue. I really love what I do but feel I can't please anyone and the gossip is sickening. I have approached those to let them know that i am doing the best I can and support is needed not GOSSIP. I know I need to work on my organizational skills but i know that will come in time. Any suggestions or ideas on how to make it better?

Thanks

Just ask them straight out for some examples and/or speak with your manager for assistance. Best

Who is saying this to you? Ask them:

  • where they see your weaknesses to be
  • how you can improve
  • what are their tricks in getting things done
  • is there anything they think that you are doing right?

Put them on the spot. These are non judgemental questions, and you are making them think before they speak. Gossip is not fair and it hurts. By asking it shows you are aware of what is being said, as well.
