Last year I started to take some classes as a non degree seeking before i applied for NP school. 2 nursing theory classes. I had a lot of personal issues going on, and did badly, i think my gpa is around a 2.0. However, I still would like to go back to school, when I am ready.Any body have any advice for me for when i decide to go back or did i totally screw myself? thanks :)

See if you can retake those classes. Some programs will let you retake a class and then you get the grade when you retook it and the other class becomes NC. That would show that you can do the work. If they ask about the NC you can explain what happened.

Maybe you could just not list those classes, if you are applying to a different program. Retake them at another school and don't mention that you took them and did poorly.

I agree with retaking the classes for better grades, especially if you want to attend the school you took the courses at.

Any time you apply to a new school, they are going to ask for transcripts. You can't just "not list" classes in which you received poor grades - they are right there on the transcripts. I would not recommend attempting to hide coursework completed at another school. If it is discovered that you attended the previous school and tried to hide it, you could be dismissed from the new school, no matter how well you might be doing there.
