Hi, my name's Amanda and I'm working toward getting into nursing school (I want to get into the BSN program at TWU). I'm short on two pre-reqs (Micro Biology and Chemistry), which I tried to take this fall, but I ended up dropping them both. Since there is a semester lag between applying and entering, I've pushed back my start date for nursing school (assuming I were to get in first time around) to Spring of '08. I'm really burned out on school, and since I work 40 hours a week and have a two year old, I'm wondering if it's even going to work out for me. I'm now reconsidering the track I was on and thinking of quitting my job to go to a LVN school. Any suggestions on a good one? I still want to eventually get my BSN (and even farther down the road use the degree to get into Med school), but I really want to begin my nursing career ASAP.
Any comments?
