  1. The RN- BSN program is for people with their RN degree currently, but want to obtain their BSN. I received some paperwork from them, but it did not have much information in it. We have to meet for a 2 day orientation in Lubbock in January, so I guess that is when they will provide everything.

If I were you, I would go ahead and try to get those 2 courses completed in the shortest semesters possible. Maybe the Mini-mester or may mester courses, if those courses are available. Some community colleges will offer them at times. Don't give up! You will be glad that you did it when you have an RN after your name. LVN would not be a bad choice as well, but for the goals that you stated, I think you would be glad that you went the RN route the first time. If the courses are not available, you could try taking them in the Spring & Summer & apply in Fall 2007. Sometimes, nursing schools will let you apply if you are enrolled in the courses. Good Luck!
  3. I will be starting the online RN-BSN program through Texas Tech in January. I am not sure about all of the details either, but I should be receiving the packet any day now & will share the details when I find out. I do know that there is a 2 day orientation that you have to attend in Lubbock. Is there anyone else that is starting the same program in January?
