I am male,live in Ukraine,and I want to study LPN-programm.How much will be cost my studying?I have no much money and I am searching a nursing school with a low cost of studying and a state with a low cost of living.

Who will be help me?

I think the Southeastern US states have the lowest cost of living. The best bet for a less expensive LPN program is to go to a technical school.

Obtaining a J1 visa to study in the United States is usually contingent on showing that you have sufficient financial resources to cover tuition and cost-of-living for the duration of your academic program.

This is a temporary visa program designed for students who intend to return to their country of origin following completion of their degree. This may or may not apply to your situation. There are also other visa programs that you may qualify for, so I suggest consulting the US State Department's website:

In order to receive a J1 visa, I understand that you must be accepted to an institution of higher education (this includes community colleges and technical colleges, both names for 2-year colleges) along with other requirements.

I think that the first step would be to find a city that sounds appealing to you, then contact the community or technical college in that city. The admissions office will likely be able to give you information about how to apply to their school as an international student.

As a side note, please keep in mind that you will have to pay higher tuition rates because you would be classified as an out-of-state student. If you live and work in a state for a specified period of time (usually one year), you may be eligible to become a state resident and pay a lower rate.

I live in California so that is where I get my info. The cheapest is a community college, if you're a resident. You do not fit in that category as yet. Next would be an "Adult School" which is usually run by the school districts. That runs about 2500 for the program. That is the route I'll be taking. There is also an entrance test in English and Math. You might want to write the Russian Counsulate in a city near where you plan on attending and see if they could help you out. Also some cities have sister city programs with each other. Livermore California has such a program with a Russian city (sorry can't remember the Russian city) but most cities in the US have their own websites. Good Luck, Dennis

Sorry Dennis, I just realized you're Ukrainian. I don't know if the info on Russia would be much help. There are probably Ukrainian groups in America that could assist you as well.
