If you're referring to adults raised in single-parent homes and need statistics, there is a very good book called, "The Unexpected Legacy of Divorce: The 25 Year Landmark Study," by Judith Wallerstein. This was based on a longitudinal study. She found some surprising positive outcomes along with the negatives.

What would you use.............there are many, many people that have only one parent. You are going to have a problem with this one, as there is no on tool that will work for everyone. I suggest that you pick something that you can definitely verify..............

that is the main problem... we could not pick any instrument because we dont have any instrument to pick. adding the fact that we have so little time in accoplishing this task.. the emergence of having a reliable instrument in just 3 days before our defense is hopeless. i hope that i could get a instrument in due time.. but if you can help ( which i would really really need right now ) that would be most appreciated! thanks

yeah i think this book would be a great reference... but the case is 1) i could not get a copy of it (lacking the money) 2) lack of time... i hope i could get a instrument here in the net for free... thanks for the resource anyways! much appreciated

the research problem was actualy formulated ast august and many revisions were made... from this time the only problem we have a is a instrument... we are not actually in completion of the research but we are going to have a defense on our panel this coming thursday from chapters 1 to 3... anyweiz if u could find a tool just buzz me thanks.. by the way you could add me in your YM... my ID is pierzextreme tnx :)
