HELP PLEASE Anyone out there work for St. Mary Mercy in Livonia MI?

Hello everyone,

I was wondering if anyone out there that works for St. Mary's in Livonia MI know what the probationary period is for a my hire RN? Just found out that I will have to have surgery and I am worried that they may just let me go, I just reached my 90 day mark. I will only have to be off work for 1 week, but then will have lifting restriction for up to 6 months.

This was totally unexpected and not how I wanted to start my career.

Please help if anyone has any information to share.

I'm scared to say something at work just in case they just decide to "cut their losses" if they feel they can't work with a restriction.

Thank you!

You really should talk to someone at your workplace. You can't trust what everyone is posting on the internet- what if the information has changed since they were employed there, what if they never really worked there? You can't know that the people posting information on an anonymous message board are who they say they are and that they are knowledgeable and truthful.

You should check with your HR staff at St.Mary's.
