Help with nursing terms...?

Nurses General Nursing

Published

Im kinda stumped on this... you see, this is an assignment we were told to do. it's a crossword puzzle, and I can't get this one word...

Oh, by the way, pardon my lack of knowledge for exactly where this thread went; I didn't see a place for questions about nursing and what-not, So i just planted it into general discussion... :p

Okay, it's a 8 letter word. it starts with C and ends with A. The hint for the word is "weakness and emaciation".

Please try to help me! Thankyou for the effort.

EDIT: is it cachexia?

That was the word I thought of immediately before I read what you thought it was. I'd go with cachexia, definitely.
