do you guys know what are the usual topics of questions? what do they usually ask in those entrance tests? can anyone give me an idea or pointers?

thanks in advance. i am kinda nervous... at least at nclex i know what to expect... but i have no idea on this entrance test.

help me please. thanks again

....hope i will also make it through...

In my experience, the "extrance" exam is a very basic dosage calculation and medication test, as has been said. Absolutely nothing compared to the NCLEX.

Furthermore, you're not hit with it your first day of orientation. You'll take it during or after most of orientation, with advance notice.

At my hospital that I just started a year ago, we had a math test and also the dreaded PBDS. That was NOT fun. Ask if you have to take it, so you can somewhat prepare.

Thank you. I just read about the PBDS test.. my reaction:

As a new hire (not even a new nurse), I had to take 3 exams. One was meds and they asked questions that weren't all math related and it was adult oriented. Nevermind I'd never worked with adults! Then there was the PBDS which had a NICU version and luckily I type faster than anyone I know. And then I had a med math test given to me by my new unit. FUN!!!
