If you are (or going to be) an accelerated BSN student/BSN 2nd degree student, awesome, I need your help!
Comments and advice from other nursing students are welcomed as well!
[background Story]
I'm 25 yrs old, recently graduated from a private liberal arts college with a BA degree in Visual Arts. I have come to realize that my previous college major/interest isn't exactly optimal with career options, therefore I am considering nursing because I always enjoyed helping people and have done extensive volunteering in the past at childcare center and nursing homes.
[My Current Situation]
As for now, it seems reasonable to enroll in an Accelerated BSN Program/BSN 2nd Degree Program, for that I already holds an BA degree.
I am considering Emory, GSU and Kennesaw, for all three of them have Accelerated BSN programs.
My serious problem is, I hardly have any credits from college that could transfer as science prerequisites. With that said, I have to start from zero.
Having read tons of info here, many have recommended finishing prereqs at GPC.
Here goes my series of Stupid Questions:
1. Any other great Accelerated Programs?
2. Emory requires General Chemistry I & II, the other two ask for Survey of Chemistry I &II, are they the same?
3. Do I need to take Intro Bio before starting Human Anatomy & Physiology, as well as for Microbio? (because for Math, Statstics and Calculus aren't very related for example)
Pardon my dummie questions, but many of us have to start from zero right?
All advice and comments are welcomed!
Great appreciation in advance!
