Hey everyone,
Today I took the TEAS V exam for the second time and unfortunately I received a lower score than what I was hoping for. My 1st time I got a 54.7% and a 52.4% the 2nd time. I was so disappointed in myself because this time around I gave myself more time to prepare and I even spent extra money on buying the study guides with practice tests. I'm also upset because the room where I was taking the test , the prompter was being extremely rude and loud. He was having conversations with other professors and was being distracting. It actually got to the point where several students told him to be quiet multiple times. The minimum score for the programs that I'm applying to range from 58-68%. I'm confident that I can pass with that score and even beyond, but I'm not sure why i cant seem to excel in the exam???? Im currently a community college with a 3.0 GPA ( which is a heck of a lot better than my H.S. gpa) and I have taken all of my prerequisites , im doing everything that i need to do. But sadly im starting to feel that maybe i'm not good enough. I hate feeling like this , because I'm truly passionate about nursing but all this stress and pressure is a lot. Has anyone been in my position before and could give me some good ideas on how to turn things around for the better ? :)

Hi Kay,
I would be livid if the proctor was talking during my exam. That is not acceptable at all, and can definitely have a negative impact on scores for everyone.
Other than taking your next attempt at a different location, my only advice is to get back to hitting those books. How many hours do you estimate you spent working on the study guide? DO NOT rush. Try and master each section before moving on. Good luck to you and don't give up.

Hi kay, last year I took this test and got the same score as you with a 3.5 gpa I didn't get into the program I wanted to. On top of that I hadn't taken micro yet or chem. I also never studied for the test. I was discouraged for a while until I read these forums and saw that I really need to spend time studying. I got my self a tutor and now I'm studying at least 2 hrs a day

How are you studying for the exam?
What resources do you have?
What is the repeat policy for the schools to which you're applying?
