I am currently a freshman at Central Washington University. I wanted to become a teacher but lately i was thinking about going into the nursing field. I was just wondering if anyone knew about the school that I am going to need and what school would be the best to attend. Also....I want to work with kids so I was thinking about going into pediatrics in the clinical setting but i am not sure if i should become a RN or a nurse practicioner. HOw much schooling is required for both and what is the pay like for both. If somebody could get back to me soon it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

An RN is on the way to PNP (is Masters level).
I don't know about other schools but OHSU in Portland has an ADN to Masters program that avoids a lot of the duplication of classes that can happen when working toward an advanced degree.

You have to become a RN before you become a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner :)
