brookejean 11 Posts Aug 13, 2008 Im in the same boat. I took out a private loan through the Student Loan Network..Heres the link. I had a hard time at first because my school is a smaller school and was not on many lenders school lists (Sallie Mae, Wachovia). Luckily this company offers private loans for my school...http://www.studentloannetwork.com/private-student-loans/Good luck!:wink2:

Also, you may want to check into apprenticeships. At my school, we are eligible to work in the hospital after first semester. Even if you don't work too much and don't make entirely enough to cover all your bills; a little something is better than nothing.

AtomicWoman 1,747 Posts Aug 14, 2008 Discover Student Loans gives you a 2% reward bonus when you graduate (just like their credit cards!), which means they will reduce your balance due by 2% upon graduation. I do believe they require a co-signer for private student loans, though. Here's the link:http://discoverstudentloans.comGood luck!

blur411 78 Posts Aug 19, 2008 this is for those who got the discover loans...Do you mind me asking what your intrest rate was? I've considered them, but I have like 5.5 with SallieMae, if its about the same I would change to them for the rest of my schooling.
