HELP..Heart problem

I never really got down the "how the heart works" thing in A&P. Others can spurt off the ventricles, valves etc. and I just do not get it. Give me a kidney any day! Does anyone have a mnemonic, a site or a study aid to help me get this very important organ down without skipping a beat? Thanks.

actually, the one website that i always look to post first, cyberheart, siri already posted for you. it has some animation that explains the pathway of blood through the heart as well as the electrical conduction. http://www.gwc.maricopa.edu/class/bio202/cyberheart/cardio.htm this is another site that does the same: http://www.anatimation.com/ecg.htm

you can't let this valuable information you have just been given sit around in a favorites folder. you have to go to these websites, pull up the pages and sit there tracing painstaking inch by painstaking inch the pathway of blood or an electrical pulse as it makes its way through the heart. visualize it in my mind if that helps. it's going to take time when you first do this. but, the more you expose yourself to it, the more familiar it will become to you. all the treatments for cardiac conditions are based upon the pathophysiology (what went wrong with the normal anatomy and physiology) of the heart.

I had an amazing A&P instructor who taught us the "pumps your blood" song to remember how the blood flows through the heart. I have never forgotten it, and sing it in my head often!!! I found this link that has the lyrics and the song on it. This is the best resource if you have a hard time memorizing!
