Hello, I am a RN from a good school in the Philippines. I know there were many posts somehow similar to this but I want a specific answer. I am currently choosing between Canada and Australia. Which of these two countries do you think is more advisable to go to? I have no hospital experience yet and I need some ideas.
So guys, any thoughts?

They are both very different. Would highly recommend that you take the time to do some reading on this site. Pros and cons have been written many times over. There is not any one specific answer that anyone can give you; each person has different likes and dislikes. There are also differnt requirements for licensure in each. So definitely take the time to do some reading, you will then find it easy to make an informed decision and that is what you need to be doing.
Have you actually taken and passed the NLE? Do you have actual work experience?
I read most of the stuff about Canada and Australia but i'm having a hard time comparing them as of now. Too much information. My credentials: Passed the PNLE in June 2008, No experience up to now. I set my goals for Canada but when I saw the requirements for Canada, there is an "employment reference" section in the Application form, this gave me doubts as I felt that having no experience would mess up my chances of going there. Also I read these steps:
I don't have any relatives in Canada yet at the moment so I don't know how to possibly find an employer.
Follow up:
I have a friend who did not take the Licensure Examination and went to Canada right after her graduation. She is now studying some subjects and completing duty hours in order to be a RN in canada. I was wondering if I can take that pathway, the difference is that she is already has an immigrant visa while I don't have a visa yet. Can I possibly study in Canada and then take the CRNE there with a student visa?
Much has been written on both of these countries and with specifics as to what needs to do to get licensed there. That is why I am asking you to do some reading here. And the threads that I am speaking of are specific to licensure in both of those countries.
That is what you should be looking at.

And as for your friend with the imigant visa. do not even look at what she can or cannot do. You need to follow the requirements that you will be required to follow and they are all posted on this forum.
Ok. Thank you suzzane!

You do not need relatives in Canada to look for a employer. You just need to contact hospitals in the province you plan to work. Most prefer that you have started process with the province college but can easily be done via internet and phone
Well that sounds promising, do they accept nurses without experience? I saw a link somewhere here where you can search for employers in Canada but I can't seem to find it anymore. I'll call them when I find that link.
You don't need a link, just look for hospitals in the province you want to work and approach them. You could google for hospitals in said province or try http://www.yellowpages.ca/
Thank you silverdragon. :nuke:
