help with books for cgfns, please

hi there, im a new user to this website, i ve been reading some of the forums which are very interesting. i am a rgn from UK

i am planning to take cgfns this year. i ve been using kaplan nclex book. is this book preperation enough to take cgfns exam or do i need to read more than that. i appreciate if anyone could please help suggest which books to go through. thank you.

can I just ask where you are looking to live and why you are doing the cgfns exam? I think for all bar 2 states you do not have to take cgfns exam and can get by with just the nclex?

Definitely agree with Anna on this one. Unless you are going to work in Illinois or Michigan right away, there is absolutely no reason for you take sit for the CGFNS exam. And especially now, since you can sit for NCLEX directly in London, without ever leaving the UK.

i am planning to work in the north carolina state. i beleive i have to take the cgfns for that state, i might be wrong. so do you think i can take nclex straight away without cgfns. im wondering would it be a problem when applying for jobs and the visa procedures. hope to hear from u. thank you.

Follow what is posted for getting licensed in NY, then just endorse. Simple as that. :)

You can go directly to the NCLEX exam, and it will not effect immigration at all. Visa Screen Certificate requires CGFNS exam or NCLEX, but both are not needed.

Save yourself much time and grief. :)
