Help: Beginner to NCLEX review and application

Hello Nurses,

Good Day! ☺

May I ask if what is the best for the nurse like me who wish to take the nclex for the first time graduated 4 yrs ago, if going to a review center to start and refresh me is the best action for prep or a self-review will do? Hope there will be a similar case with mine which will advise me and enlighten me. I would highly appreciate your kind help.

I would like to take an NCLEX under ArizonaBN. Does anyone has a good and big heart who wants to share ideas with me or related case as mine? I really wanted to hear such things and could follow. Please Help. Thank you in advance to a kind heart.

Kind Regards,

Bia Grefiel

Hello, anyone who wants to help me please...

Have you completed your application to the Arizonia BON? Were you educated inside the United States?

Not yet. I'm still on process of completing ny credentials before the application to AZBN. I just dont know if what is the best preparation for NCLEX. If I go with self-review or enroll to a review center like kaplan.

I'm a foreign educated from the Philippines.

Also, I emailed the AZBN to this email address "[email protected]" i dont think if this is their updated email address? Because I did not recieved any respond from them yet. I was asking if aside from the credit/debit card to pay the application, am I also allowed to send a cheque along with my hard copy application form to be mailed to the AZBN address?

Please Help me... God Bless :)

There are many threads discussing the NCLEX in our NCLEX forum found under the student tab

Sending a cheque instead of paying by credit or debit card (if allowed) is not very efficient as it wastes time and increases the likelihood that the payment(s) will be misplaced. Also, it's not just the AZbon that you have to make a payment to in order to process your application, you also have to pay to have your education validated by an education assessment service such as cgfns, also to have your transcripts sent from the Philippines. You may have to pay and undergo an English language skills test such as Toefl or IELTS. You may have to pay to have your practice validated and sent from the Philippines. Also, you will have to pay Pearson vue to do the NCLEX exam.

Then finally after all the steps are completed you will have to pay for your license. If you use a credit card with each of the transactions you will have a record of payment and if there are delays in the process it is better to have proof of payment instead of the cheque being in the mail.

Are you also a Filipino Nurse or a graduate from the Philippines?

I know how it is..this is an unsolicited advise.Because we are almost on the same page...mine is more worst because I graduated 9 years ago from the Philippines. Check the State BON requirements then walk through from the easiest to the complex test/requirement and also consider the expiration of the card/certificate/test result. Some if not all has expiration like your IELTS has 2 years expiration so make sure you consider this.

Hello, thank you for the information. Do I still need to take EILTS even if my subjects in college has been taught in English? I just had requested a certificate of English Proficiency from my school. Does this suffice to an english language requirement?

Thank you in advance for your reply soon. :)
