Hello RGN1 thanks for the reply, i am seriously looking into moving to Florida, the Gulf side would be ideal but it comes down to where the jobs are if i have to take a different location when so be it,st petes area would be nice as we know the area and surrounding area well in fact been twice this year on hols love Treasure Island /Madiera Beach areas,do you have a job in that area or are you waiting for your employment? Tomorrow i am going to contact some agencies i think it would be better than trying to do everything myself, and going to buy books to study for THE EXAM, im worried about medical cover as my husband has a pacemaker and has check-ups will i get medical cover for him in Florida? Any help on how to start the ball rolling (so to speak) will be greatly recieved, thankyou.:redlight:  :thankya:

I have a job in theTampa area (don't know exactly where yet though as it's through Adevia/Maxim) but am stuck in the wheels of the incredibly sllllllllllooooooooooooooowwwwwwwwwwwwww immigration process!

Not sure about your hubbie as most private insurers don't cover pre-existing conditions - maybe someone who has been in the USA a while - helllooo Madwife/Letina ;) (plus others) might be able to tell you.

I personally would thoroughly recommend the Kaplan course & especially their live study days once you have completed your review. Couple it with Saunders Q&A for content & alternate strategies to Kaplan. Kaplan is expensive but I think it's money well spent. Their on-line program is geared for 3-4 months study.

I felt that the questions I had in the actual exam were very much like those I had on the Kaplan 1 day live course but I also felt that often it was the strategies I'd learned from Saunders that helped me to actually answer the question. So together I feel they're a winning combination. I passed at 75 having been 14 years out of nursing school & a non US trained nurse. I think that was an okay performance! However, I truly did study really, really hard!

I'm afraid I got the ball rolling by going with Adevia I'm just way too much of a coward/too lazy to go it alone. Not a fact I'm proud of but just the truth! Have to say though that I've been very happy with them so far & the wage I've been offered by Maxim is good for the area of Florida I wanted so I've not been ripped off (not yet anyway!) also my penalty for breaking my contract is very reasonable ($8000) & I have not been asked to change the conditions of my contract (again yet, anyway - hehehe)!
