hello everyone!

Hello! I'm not officially a "pre-nursing" student yet, because I wanted to try a semester of science before I decide for sure LOL. I'm enrolled in BIO114 General Biology with Lab and CHM110 Intro Chemistry.

I already have a BA in an unrelated field, so I only need sciences (minus nutrition). To say how stressed I am, I almost dropped out of college over BIO101! It was my hardest class ever, and my only "B" :bluecry1: grade. (that sounds better than it was- my homework was all open book, it's the exams that I tanked!) I'm super nervous, and fearful to say the least. That class (for me) was HARD but I took it online, so I am hoping having a teacher in person will make it more doable for me this time. If I pass, my plan is A&P 1 in the summer and then A& P 2 with Micro in the fall. Anyway, I just wanted to say hello to everyone, and if I make it through these pre-requisites without frying my brain, I'll be applying for Spring start next year!

P.S. No one knows I'm trying this, I haven't even told my mom- she just retired from a 40 year career in nursing! I don't want to be bold and say that I'm changing careers until I know I can make it through the first semester. :chuckle

it sounds like a good plan! good luck!!!

hello,

the first science i had blew me away. i could not understand how i could learn all that stuff. it is something totally different fom other things that i had taken and much more abstract. why did they let you take chem and bio? that is a double whammy. it is recommended to take only once science at a time because of their difficulty. you did very well with a b. congrats.

the good thing is that you get the same stuff over and over again but in more detail. ap 1 ap2 and micro you visit the same stuff until it actually makes sense!! yippee:yeah:you'll do fine, y:yeah:you are not alone!!
