:monkeydance: Hello everyone!! My name is Erika and I am currently a stay at home mommy to 2 girls, 24 months and 14 months. I will be taking the NET on August 8th for part time LPN program. I am terrified about the math, I only made it to pre-algebra in High school, I am not unintellegent, just horrible at math! any tips? I REALLLLY don't want to BUY any study guides, my mother graduated the program 4 years ago and let me use her math book to refresh myself....

Some of the girls might have some sites you can visit...or look around this board - there may be a post already with some links!
I was in the same boat...horrible at math in HS. But I took a basic algebra class in college and I passed with flying colors because the teacher knew how to teach it!
Best of luck to you! Study away!

Hi Erika,
I too was horrible at math and didn't go past pre algebra in HS. I had to take 3 semesters of remedial classes when I started college, but it is all behind me now!!
As far as the NET, the math portion is the easy part!! It is very basic elementary math. Here is a great website that breaks it all down for you.

There were only about 4 or 5 algebra questions on my NET test, the rest were percentages, fractions, decimals, ratios and basic adding, subtraction, multiplication and division. Look over this website, and do the practice tests there. It is a great site!
Good luck in the 8th!
