first, take a few deep breaths!!
what is it that is scaring you? obviously, you are smart enough to get into the program.
look at this as one of the greatest learning experiences of your life. just sit back and soak it all in. you are not expected to commit everything to memory. it is going to be alot of hard work, but it is soo going to be worth it. try to relax...you'll be fine. good luck...

No matter what everyone will be nervous starting the program. You have to realize that everyone is in the same boat, and is extremely nervous! I hope you are excited too!
Bite the bullet and go in it with the mindset that you will do you best, make friends, and have a great experience! Trust me, once you start, you'll get in the groove of things and SHINE!
Do you have any CNA experience or health care experience? Clinicals can be another daunting experience at first, but it's the same concept. Everyone is in the same boat, you are not the only one feeling nervous and scared. I was nearly having panic attacks at first because I had no experience and it was completely new to me, but after a couple of times, I got the hang of it, and it's just so awesome working with patients and connecting with them and helping them.
Don't worry, you'll do great. You just need to relax and do you best.

where do you get off telling her she is not smart enough to get into the program? everyone gets anxious before starting and simply asking for what to expect...i am truely offended by your posting as we are to lift each other up on this board, not tear each other down.
Having your CNA puts you a step ahead. All nursing schools (LVN or RN) start out with CNA duties so consider yourself blessed to have this experience.
Now, take a deep breath, and just enjoy the experience. There is a lot of reading and studying involved, but doable if you manage your time effectively. As a CNA, you already use a lot of skills that a licensed nurse uses now you are going to expand on your CNA duties...formulating care plans, patient assessments, learning what you can delegate, your scope of practice, medications, procedures/treatments, ect.
Best of luck to you on your journey!

I think you should reread what that said...she said "Obviously, YOU ARE smart enough to get in the program..."

That's awesome you are a CNA! You really will SHINE in the program at clinical. I'm still in the program, we're only just over a month in! Haha, we have 11 more months to go. The first month flew by and I felt like I already learned so much.
