hallucinations are profound distortion in a person's perception of reality, typically accompanied by a powerful sense of reality. delusions i think are false personal beliefs

Yup - sounds good to me. Hallucinations would be something like seeing/hearing/smelling/feeling something that's "not really there." Pink elephants & that sort of thing.

Delusion might include stuff like believing that you're king of the world, or smarter than everyone else, or much uglier than those around you.
