So, I've known about half.com for quite a while, but never really utilized it's potential before..For those who don't know, it's a subsidiary of ebay, and you can either purchase or sell textbooks on it. Frankly, it's amazing. Last semester I spent nearly $600 on books, and only got about $30 back, because my school isn't reusing my books. I keep my science books, and others that I feel will help me in the future, but I had no reason to keep the spanish or philosophy books and stuff like that. So the other day day I decided, what the heck, I have nothing to lose. My books are in great condition - I posted them and within 12 hours my philosophy book sold for $40, and $55 for Spanish. You get to set the price, people don't bid like on ebay.
I'm sure some have heard about this site before, but I just wanted to pass it on to those of you who may not have, who like me have useless books laying around! :rotfl:

Thanks for the tip! I have a growing stack of books that I've been wondering what to do with. While my college bookstore offers half back on return, this by far seems to be a better route. :)
You get half back on all your books? I'm so jealous.. :selfbonk: They say we can get up to 50% off, but yeah..that never happens.. I think the most I ever got back was $33 for a math book I paid $110 for...blah..diiiiisgusting. That's why I love this website so much..a little extra income is never a bad thing, especially when it's about time to go buy even MORE fun filled textbooks.

I am so glad you posted this. I am sitting here looking at my computer book and I could surely use the extra money. I have bought books on Half.com and feel really good about them but this computer book has to go, it is cluttering my desk. LOL!!
